NLNG says it has not awarded any EPC contract for Train 7

The Nigeria LNG Limited says no company has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract for Train 7.

According to a statement from its Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Andy Odeh, the selection process is still ongoing. The NLNG said its attention had been drawn to an oil and gas training programme organised by two organisations purportedly for NLNG’s Train 7 project.

It said, “The organisers, in the publicity material, alleged that NLNG mandated consultants to organise training sessions for those interested in participating in the project. They also claim that attendees of the training shall be enlisted for employment in the database of the main Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor.

“The NLNG expressly disassociates itself from this training programme. The NLNG is not collaborating with any company for the recruitment of personnel for its Train 7 project. Members of the public are hereby urged to take necessary steps to verify claims of persons purporting to act on behalf of the NLNG.

“Members of the public are also advised not to make financial transactions in response to such claims and to report any of such incidents to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.”
