The Nigeria-Belgian Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, March 12, held an event at to interact with startups in a bid to foster bilateral and consequently multilateral business relations with the Belgian business community and consequently Europe.
The event held at the Chambers office on Lagos Island. It started at by 9:30 am with a brief welcome address and speaker introduction by Elena Shilkova. After this Mr Taofeek Olagoke an assistant at the chambers, came up to give a brief history of the existence of the chambers, its functions and core values.
Sequel to this, Mr Gbenga then came up to describe in detail the services provided by the chambers to their members. This include office leases for regular and special events,opportunities to network within the Enterprise Europe Network, which is the largest business network in Europe and access to partner matching services.
After this, the representatives of the startups present gave a brief introduction about what their brand is about and the services they provide. At the end of this session, attendants moved to observe a tea break and network.
Following the break, Mr Ojanoma Osiah, who is a researcher at the NBCC shared some of the events that would be organised by the chamber at a later date. Some of these events include the “Silicon Lagoon Economic Mission” which is slated for 19th-23rd of March and “Access to funds” Info sessions in May.
This marked the end of sessions at the event, and at this point a group photo was taken and the event was brought to a close.
