Dangote Group is looking at bids for the first of two 550-kilometre pipelines as part of its East-West Offshore Gas Gathering System.
Nigerian conglomerate Dangote Group is evaluating bids from offshore contractors related to its ambitious East-West Offshore Gas Gathering System (EWOGGS) pipeline in the Niger Delta.
Dangote in partnership with First E&P, is embarking on the EWOGGS that will change Nigeria’s energy landscape. According to the firm, it is the single largest gas infrastructure investment in Nigeria’s history and it will boost domestic gas demand and supply.
Dangote’s proposed 1,100km deepsea pipeline from the Niger Delta to Lagos, consists of two 38 inch, 550km pipelines, each with a capacity of 1.5 Bcf/day. The two pipelines will be running side by side.
